NLDL
The NORA Research School and the research-based innovation center Visual Intelligence, annually organize a Winter School as an extension of the Northern Lights Deep Learning Conference (NLDL). NLDL is Visual Intelligence's flagship conference and takes place in Tromsø every January. The winter school builds on the conference and offers a two-day extension with courses and tutorials, culminating in a five-day event. Participants are awarded credits by UiT, The Arctic University of Norway. The NORA Research School provides financial support for the event and covers registration fees for its members.
Summer School
The NORA Summer School rotates alongside the NORA annual conference. The NORA summer school features short and intensive courses on cutting-edge AI topics from Norwegian Universities. The courses primarily target PhD candidates, but are also open to a wider audience. There are no course fees and credits can be obtained if participants pre-register with the Norwegian University offering the course. The NORA Research School provides limited financial support to members who are dependent on travel for attendance.
Presimal Autumn School
PRESIMAL is a nation wide network of hospitals in Norway focused on precision medicine. The network is hosted by MMIV. NORA has joined hands with MMIV for organising an autumn school every year along with PRESIMAL that focused on medical imaging and AI. The three day school is a residential program that takes place in serene and beautiful setting in different Norwegian cities. The school takes place typically in the month of September. The school is very popular and received upto 40 Phd candidates every year who join to understand challenges of developing, deploying and maintaining medical ai solutions.
